So I was all pumped to start Ct5K on August 1st. I had a plan to do “week zero” walks to get myself back into getting my shoes on and getting out the door. Then I woke up last week and have spent every morning since then absolutely miserable – my allergies have been beating the heck out of me every morning and evening – my two available exercise times. Even if I take an allergy pill, the runny nose and itchy, watery eyes make it far too frustrating to go for a good walk, let alone think about jogging.
So, change of plans. I will start doing either the Pilates DVD I have or downloading YogaToday episodes this week.
My new plan for getting my butt moving:
- Pilates or Yoga 2-3x a week
- one long (45min+) walk each week
- at least one short (20-30min) walk each week
So tomorrow morning, I’ll be dragging my butt out of bed a half-hour early so I can do my Pilates for Dummies DVD. Not thrilled about it, but I will do it. I did it tonight, instead of tomorrow morning. WOW does it ever kick my butt!
