It’s snowing.
In Vancouver.
On March 28th.
You have GOT to be kidding me, climate. Fuck.
Edit:  Also, I realise that if it were snowing in Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb I would be giddy about it. It’s MARCH, however, and the end of March. It’s SPRING. There are flowers. There should not be snow.

Clearly, the climate here is as baffled as we mere mortals about the never-ending winter. This was my commute yesterday:
Left work. It’s not raining! YAYAYAY!
Turned onto the sidewalk, away from the cover of the house my office is in and the trees around it. OH LORD it’s windy. And really really cold. Where are my [...]

Sometimes, we all just need to let loose and bust a move. The Globe and Mail had an article today about a news station in the US which has “Dance Party Fridays” – if there’s no tragic news or traffic accidents, their traffic and weather report starts to shake his booty on camera. The videos [...]

When we left the house this morning, the car was reading 2C outside. It’s the first day of Spring, what’s up with that? By the time we got over to the Island later in the morning, [...]

I finally went from “maybe almost sick”, as I had described last week, to full-on, ass-on-the-couch-all-day, box-of-kleenex-a-day, SICK. Every time I get sick like this, I am truly amazed at the [...]

I’ve decided that I want to start seeking out more fun and adventure, to stop waiting for 10lbs to go away or the weather to get better or whatever excuse. I do better when I can see my life in front of me, so I’m going to start writing it all out. This weekend I [...]

Bit of a strange week, and I have some random updates that don’t all flow together, so… bullet points!

I haven’t gone out for my second run/walk yet. My lungs were thrashed all of Saturday, and I think I need to go easy on them. For a few weeks now, I’ve felt like I’m *almost* sick. [...]

I dragged myself out of bed this morning, sat on the couch checking my email and whatnot for a bit, and then finally had the “self, you are going to throw some clothes on, lace up your shoes, and get out the door” conversation.
The first few minutes were full of me grumbling to myself and [...]
